Research Phillippa Lally et al. How are habits formed: Modelling habit formation in the real world European Journal of Social Psychology · 2010 96 participants observed for 12 weeks The median time to reach 95% automaticity was about 66 days, ranging from 18 to 254 days. A notodo is something to look forward to

There is a reward.
Something good happens when you don't.

Watch a film, buy a book, or give yourself an unhurried afternoon. You choose the reward, earn it automatically, and use it whenever you like.

Change can mean doing less. A notodo is worth looking forward to.

66

Why 66 days?

Habit-formation research by Phillippa Lally and colleagues found that reaching near-stable automaticity took about 66 days on average, with substantial individual variation.

66 days is notodo's graduation reference point—not a magical guarantee of change or medical advice.

You may be wondering

No pressure. No hidden rules.

What day does a new notodo start on?

The creation date is Day 0. After one complete local calendar date passes, you enter Day 1.

Do I lose my history if I slip?

No. Your current streak restarts, while your personal best and total days are preserved.

How many notodos can I have at once?

Up to three. You begin with one slot and unlock more after completing your first seven days.

Must I graduate immediately after Day 66?

No. You may graduate at any time after Day 66 or keep the project active, though it will continue to use a slot.
