notodo Privacy Policy

Effective: July 14, 2026
Last updated: July 14, 2026
Applies to: notodo (iOS app and widgets)

Thank you for using notodo (the “App”). notodo is a local app for recording things you choose not to do, milestone progress, personal rewards, and graduation identities. This policy explains what information is stored on your device, how it supports the App's features, and how you can manage permissions and local data.

Core principle: notodo has no account system, does not require an internet connection, has no leaderboard, and includes no advertising or third-party tracking. Your projects, rewards, slip records, and identity data remain on your device. They are not uploaded to the developer, sold, rented, or used for advertising.

1. Information stored locally

To track project progress, milestone rewards, and graduation, the App stores the following information locally:

This information is used only for the App's core features and is not sent to the developer or third parties.

2. iOS widgets and App Group

If you use a notodo widget, the main app uses Apple's local App Group mechanism to share the limited information needed by the widget, such as project name, current day, milestone target, progress, and display preferences.

This information is shared only between notodo and its widgets, remains in a system-managed local App Group container, and is not transmitted to the developer or other third-party apps.

3. Notifications

With your permission, notodo uses Apple's local notifications to remind you about progress, rewards, or graduation eligibility at important milestones such as Days 7, 21, and 66.

Notifications are scheduled locally on your device. They are not sent through a developer server or remote push service. You can disable milestone reminders in the App or manage notification permission at any time in iOS Settings.

4. Photo permission

When you choose “Save Image,” notodo requests add-only photo permission to save a generated progress card, reward card, recognition card, or graduation certificate to your system photo library.

notodo does not read, browse, modify, or delete existing photos or videos. It only adds the image you explicitly choose to save. You can manage this permission at any time in iOS Settings.

5. Information we do not collect or use

6. System services and third-party SDKs

notodo does not currently integrate third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs and does not rely on developer servers for its core features.

The App uses Apple system capabilities including local storage, SwiftData, WidgetKit, App Group, local notifications, and add-only photo permission. These are protected by Apple's system privacy rules and permission controls.

7. Retention, deletion, and device backups

Your projects and related records remain on your device until you delete a project in the App or remove the App. Deleting a project also deletes its rewards and slip records, and they cannot be recovered by notodo.

Removing the App will normally remove its local app and widget data. If you use Apple device backup or migration, Apple may include app data according to its own policies. The notodo developer cannot access or control those backups.

8. Data security

notodo limits required data to your device and the system-managed App Group container, following a least-permission approach: notification permission is used only for milestone reminders, and photo permission only to add images you choose to save.

Because notodo has no account or cloud sync, the developer cannot recover deleted projects, rewards, slip records, or graduation information. Please confirm that you no longer need local data before deleting it.

9. Your choices and controls

10. Health disclaimer

notodo is a personal habit-tracking and self-management tool. It does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or professional health advice and does not replace advice from a doctor, therapist, or other qualified professional.

The 66-day graduation design references habit-formation research, but individual differences are real. Using the App does not guarantee that a behavior will change within a particular time. If you are addressing substance dependence, eating concerns, mental health, or another issue requiring professional support, consult a qualified professional.

11. Children's privacy

notodo is intended for a general audience. It does not knowingly collect children's personal information or create child profiles for advertising. Because the App has no account or online submission feature, the developer does not know a user's age or identity.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect product changes, legal requirements, or App Store review requirements. The revised page will show a new effective and last-updated date. Material changes to data handling will be communicated through App Store release notes, a website notice, or an appropriate in-app notice.
